3.6 Power. The scale shall be powered via the indicator by commercially available
110/220/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz and/or 12 VDC power. A 20ft. power supply cable shall be
provided with the scale.
3.7 Scale Indicator. The scale shall contain a digital display at least 0.5 inches in height and with a back light to improve visibility. Individual push button controls for zero, peak hold, and accumulation shall be included on the keypad. The indicator shall be configurable to receive a digital output from the scale to enable interchangeability with any scale of the same make and model without having to perform calibration. The indicator shall provide an output capable for interfacing with computers.
3.7.1 Peak Hold. The peak hold mode shall indicate the maximum applied load.
3.7.2 Accumulation. The accumulation mode enables the Scale to weigh multiple loads in series and provide a total of all loads on completion.
3.7.3 Indicator Display Features. The indicator shall be capable of displaying primary/secondary unit configurations in lbs., and kg. The indicator shall allow the user to set, display and clear tare weight, display gross or net weight, and transmit data to a printer or a remote display. The indicator shall be weatherproof or in a weatherproof container.
3.7.4 Indicator mounting stand. An indicator mounting stand shall be included with each kit ordered.
3.8 Tilted position. The scale shall be accurate when operated out of level up to and including
5 percent (approximately three degrees).
3.9 Transportability. The scale shall be designed for easy transporting by forklifts and pallet trucks.
3.10 Environmental conditions.
3.10.1 Temperature. The scale and indicator shall operate repeatable with the inaccuracy specified in 3.4 over a temperature range of -400 Fahrenheit (F) to +1250 F (-4.40 Celsius (C) to +51.60 C) for operation and -600 F to +1600 F (-15.50 C to + 71.10 C) for storage.
3.10.2 Water. The scale and indicator shall be waterproof.
3.10.3 Dust. The scale and indicator shall be dustproof.
3.10.4 Humidit y. The scale and indicator shall be capable of withstanding relativity humidity's up to 100%.
3.10.5 Corrosion control. The scale shall be constructed of corrosion resistant materials and shall be suitably protected against corrosion.
